Hello and welcome to my page. My name is Michael aka Mikey, talker, smoocher, pest, pushy,
big mouth, pukey boy and red kitty boy. Since I wear the red collar (it just sets off my black and white color so well) my page is done in
red. I am what you would call a "Tuxedo Kitty" with a white chest and legs. Mom had thought from the start
that I would be the "devil kitty" of the group, but Padraig then took the title. Then I took it back and then Padraig
took it again. Its an ongoing battle to be the devil of the house! On March 12th I was 7 years old. Can you believe that one? I've been a bit of a pistol from time to time, but mom loves me anyhow. I'm quite the talker - mom gets a bit peeved at me when I "announce" myself at all hours of the night when I come to bed. What?? All I want is the attention. I've gotten quite used to MacTavish, although Alexander is "MY" dog - Padraig has MacTavish. He's kind of pesty, but lots of fun. Fortunately for me he likes to lay by mom's feet - so I still get the lap (although I have to share with Alexander). For some strange reason I've really developed a love of dry dog food. Mom keeps yelling at me for eating the dogs dry food and not my cat food. Now, when I eat the dry cat food it upsets my stomach. What can I say?? I've always been a big "odd". Mom has been updating the photogalleries so if you want to see other pictures of me check out them out. I have to say that I was quite the cute kitten if I may say so myself.

Hmmm, I demand more and more attention. There is nothing quite like mom's lap and a good scratching
behind the ears. I've taken over the left pillow on the bed from Alexander. I still keep one of my paws touching
him though.

I was born on March 12, 2001 and when my sibblings and I were
about 10 days old someone dropped us all off at the A.P.L. (that's Animal Protective League). Since we were so
little we were sent home with a volunteer to be fostered until we were old enough to be brought back. I came back
to the A.P.L. on April 27th and the morning of April 28th I was neutered and a couple of hours later was placed in
the cage for adoption. I was very very sleepy and I guess I looked cute so mom took me. I just wanted to snuggle
and be held. I weighed only 1 pound and was very quite at the time!
Anyway, I went out to the car in a little blue box that mom had brought filled with a soft towel and a toy. I immediately
fell asleep and we drove away to my new home. I didn't know that we would be making a stop along the way to
pick up Padraig. Mom had already talked to the lady about him. She was looking for two boys (and got them), but
Padraig had only sisters so she came and got me to be his brother. I am five days older than he is and I RULE (well,
some of the times, other times he rules!)
Well, we picked up Padraig (he and his siblings were going to be taken to the A.P.L. if his human had not found
homes for them also) and we headed on home snuggled quite nicely together in the blue kennel box. When the
car stopped mom took us out and we went into the house. There, to my surprise, were these two huge white
guys (hey, when you are only one pound and fit in a persons hand, Westies look huge!) They looked at us sort
of funny and then walked away. I guess they had both lived with adult cats before - they just weren't sure what
we little things were. Then I gave them one big "meow" and they knew what was in store for them both!
![]() I wear a pretty red leather rolled collar with my nametag on at all times. Don't know what mom is worried about, she won't even let us down into the basement and we will never get to go outside without a leash. Mom will only let us be indoor kitties - which is alright with me. Pooh and Maxie lived long lives as house cats - so that speaks volumes for the whole idea. Actually, I like to sit in the front bay window and watch the world go by, but really don't want to go out into it. Padraig and I have tended to "pair off" with one of our older brothers. Mom says it is a "name thing". You see, I tend to spend my time with Alexander - both "English" names. Padraig spends more time with Diarmid - a "Gaelic name" thing. We get into the dogs food, sleep on their pillows, and make them make room for us on mom's lap. Hey, gotta share you know! My birthday every year has been nice. Get a can of Friskies - usually only get that on Sunday's. A real treat. Plus mom sings to me. It hasn't been the same around the house without Diarmid. Padraig and I must give Alexander all our attention now. He tends to get perturbed with us when we cuddle up with him. Nothing to do with the cuddle - I think it has to do more with the 2 times his weight laying on him! But, I am the more svelt of the two of us! Mom tells me that a new baby brother was born recently. Padraig and I only have until mid-September to be "puppy free", then we need to teach the new kid who we are. Should be fun!
![]() Padraig and I joined CLAW - a club for cats who purr and serve. We figure we will have a lot to add to their group for kitties who live with dogs! Here is our membership card:
Spring of 2002 I joined Cats in Company along with Padraig. Pooh and Maxie are members (even from heaven) and so we decided to join too. Here's their nifty logo:
I joined Bella's T.U.C.K.s thats short for Tuxedo's United Cat Klub). Here's my nifty membership card:
![]() In 2002/2003 I thoroughly enjoyed mom being home for 7-1/2 months with her surgeries and all, but really, that meant that Diarmid and Alexander are always here too! You see, we get a break from them when mom works because grandma picks them up every morning and we have the house to ourselves. Not lately, so that is why I think I get into more trouble - mom's here to see it first hand! At least when she went back to work the d*gs went back to the old routine and Padraig and I have the house to ourselves again during the day. But, for some unknown reason, mom has gone back to shutting the doors to the library, bathroom and bedrooms. What I ask?? Just because I like to flush the toilet over and over and over??!! And, Padraig loves to roll around on the bed linens? Moms can be no fun sometimes! Got to see lots of people at Christmas time 2004. Mom had a work party here and everyone who came just loved kitties and kept coming to see Padraig and I in the kennel. Once things had settled down more she let us out to be with the people. Diarmid & Alexander came back from grandma's a little later and hogged some of our attention! The next day Uncle Rob & Aunt Terri got here and then the next day the human cousins were here. They all like kitties, just some of them are allergic to us so we had to stay in the kennel the whole time. But those who weren't allergic came to pet us and tell us how wonderful we were. In 2005 I got a new nickname - "pukey boy" and not one I'm happy about. I like to nibble often on the Purina Indoor cat food and I love to drink water. All that dry food swells and it won't fit in my little stomach, so up it comes. Mom says that I am just Pooh's puker replacement - guess he used to do that often during his whole 20 years of life. Ah well, good thing there is very little carpeting left in the house. Of course I go straight for the only room with carpeting, but it is being replaced soon with a pergo type of tile flooring. Ah, well. Well, this page will grow along with me. As I said, I haven't been here all that long to write about yet. Padraig and I have our own "Two Kitties - Cat House" site like Diarmid & Alexander's Two Westies site. We even have some six pages to our photogallery. Stop by and check them out. Like Diarmid & Alexander we've gone to a Directory page first so you can choose what you would like to go to. |
