Here you will meet our "first cousins" Kyle, Teddy Cat and Sam
who live in Houston with our Uncle Rob and Aunt Terri.
They have a great life - and spoiled - yes indeed.

Kyle
Mr. Kyle

Rob found Kyle as a kitten outside of a Schlotzkys restaurant in Houston in 1995. He heard this little meow and found a small cream colored furball. He brought him some food and water which Kyle quickly accepted, purring all the time. Rob checked around, he had no collar and looked like he'd been out for a while so he took him home. Rob had always said that he would like a cat like my Pooh - lovable, lap sitter. Well, he got it in this one - and also Pooh's big mouth too. Kyle, like Pooh was, is a talker.

When I talk to Rob on the phone you can usually hear Kyle purring in the background. He loves to lay on whatever you're working on or playing with, especially if you're petting him. Kyle was Rob's cat, but since he spends his days around Terri at work now he's becoming quite attached to her also.

Kyle has this thing about managing to lay down in the "bumper dust" of the plant and messing up his pretty cream white color. But, he's stull a gorgeous guy (according to Rob).

Two winter's ago he was "missing" and they couldn't find him for days. Rob was so upset, but come Monday when they went into one of the storage bins for the bumper plant, there he was. A bit dehydrated, but otherwise just fine. Fortunately, it was winter in Houston and not summer!

He's gotten used to living in the new house and with Teddy and now Sam. He's lost some of his teeth due to age, otherwise he's doing just fine.

Teddy Cat
Teddy Cat

Teddy Cat was found mewing as a tiny kitten outside the door at Houston Bumper last fall. He was a tiny little black ball of fur and so loving, so he got to stay with Jake, Khola and Kyle.
From his description he sounded like a little Pooh. Anyway, Khola and Kyle tolerated him as a tiny kitten. He loved to get on Terri's desk and crawl around and lay in the drawer. He also goes behind the other two and covers their litter box contents - he is neat indeed.

Last spring he got to go in to be neutered and all. He loves to go in to the lunch room with the workers and see what they are eating. Well, after all, that was "his" first room. Now that he's all fixed he sleeps with the others in the bedroom. He likes to crawl in to the cabinet where Terri keeps her clothes and lay all over them.

Terri says that Teddy likes to bite - and some times he just doesn't want to let go. Definately a cat on the prowl. He's totally black with maybe four white hairs on his whole body - maybe they should have called him Lucifer!

He too has gotten used to the new house - different from being in the bumper plant office and apartment. He loves having his perch by the great room windows so he can see outside. He has nice high fenced yard so goes on the prowl back there.

Sam
Sam

This is Sam or Sammy as Robert calls him. Last winter he was driving down a street not far from his development and when stopped at a stop sign he saw a puppy walking in the street. He called to him and the pup jumped right in his car. He had no intention of keeping him, put up signs and stuff with no response. He could be a little stinker being a young pup, but Robert had a "talk" with him and his behavior changed dramatically. Robert began calling him Sam and he was there to stay.

Robert and Sam love to take long walks around their planned golfcourse community. He is very good at offleash. One day he saw a critter and took off not heeding Robert's call. Rob thought for sure he had lost him, but low and behold he found his way home before Robert.

He looks to be part Akita and part Shar Pei. He is such a sweetie. Goes to work with Robert every day. Loves to ride in the backseat of the Lexus on a blanket with his head on the center armrest. He goes with Rob some time with his work van, but doesn't like that - more bumpy!
