We gave out the
Three Brothers and then the Angel Maxie Rainbow Awards for a number of years. Now many of those pages
no longer exist, e-mails have changes, etc. so we have change it to a list of names. If you see one of these awards on
someone's page then they are on our list.
The Story of the Three Brothers
My Angels
Ti, Pooh and Angus were my original three boys. Ti, born in 1979, was the oldest of the trio. He was a lover
and so patient. In 1980 Pooh joined our family and Ti became his instant "mother". The two were always
together. In 1981 Angus joined our family to complete the trio. At first Ti and Pooh were uncertain of what
Angus was, but they loved him anyhow. The three became quite inseparable and were known in my apartment
building as the "you know, those three brothers down the hall". They took nightly walks together on a triple
leash and were often seen snuggled together asleep on the bed. In all their years they never once fought and
Ti and Pooh even taught Angus how to leap up onto things with the grace of a cat. Ti left the trio first after four
short years in 1983, Angus followed eight years later in 1991, and Pooh joined them both eight years later
in 1999 to make "the trio" a trio again. They now reside at the Rainbow Bridge with their cousins and friends
and wait for me there.
The Story of the Angel Maxie
My Angel Maxie was
my only girl baby. After Ti had died, Pooh was lonely. Oh, Pooh had Angus, but he missed his big kitty brother
Ti. So, for my 29th birthday my brother brought us "Max" as a new brother for Pooh. Pooh took to Max immediately
and there was no separating them. It wasn't until Max went in to be neutered that we found out he was really a
she, and thus Miss Maxie was "born". Maxie was very attached to Angus, followed him everywhere. And, she
was attached to Pooh - it was a perfect mix. They became my new "trio". When Angus died in 1991 Maxie was
devastated. When Diarmid came along a few months later she didn't dislike him, she was just mad at me for
what she felt was replacing her Angus. It took a while, but she and Diarmid became the best of friends. For
almost 15 years Maxie lived with Pooh. When he died in February she began to take up some of his old
habits. Maxie and Diarmid were buddies, they even started their "Maxie & Diarmid's Friends" club. Nine months
after Pooh died Maxie left this world, on November 15, 1999. She left behind a very sad brother and mom. But, being the Angel that she
is - she sent us Alexander to help Diarmid and her mom through the rough times. She left us for the Rainbow
Bridge where she now lives with her brothers Pooh and Angus again, and has finally
met her older brother Ti. There they all wait, until we meet again.
